چکیده

OBJECTIVE We aimed to determine the predictive significance of Ki-67 and platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in patients with gastric cancer (GC), who received fluorouracil, leucovorin, oxaliplatin, docetaxel (FLOT) as neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). STUDY DESIGN Descriptive study. PLACE AND DURATION OF Department Medical Oncology, Faculty Medicine,  Ondokuz Mayis University, Samsun, Turkey from March 2016 January 2020. METHODOLOGY Seventy-five GC, FLOT treatment NAC were included Ki-67 and PLR, which examined pre-NAC aft-NAC, recorded. Associations between clinical-histopathological parameters disease-free survival (DFS) overall (OS) analysed using Kaplan-Meier curves. Cox-regression analysis was used assess their prognostic values. RESULTS There a statistically significant difference aft-NAC Ki-67, PLR values groups complete response, partial stable disease (p: 0.023, p: <0.001; 0.001, respectively). When grouped according changes, found terms OS (p< 0.001). High high associated shorter DFS 0.042, 0.049; 0.027, The OS, while 0.018,  p: In multivariate analysis, be an independent factor for OS. CONCLUSION have GC treated FLOT. is marker cancer. Key Words: FLOT, Gastric cancer, Platelet ratio.

Monocyte to lymphocyte ratio predicts survival in patients with advanced gastric cancer undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy

BACKGROUND Currently, precise predictors in gastric cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy are lacking. The study aims to investigate the prognostic value of the monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (MLR) in patients with advanced gastric cancer receiving S-1 plus oxaliplatin (SOX) or oxaliplatin and capecitabine (XELOX) neoadjuvant chemotherapy regimen. METHODS The data from Harbin Medi...

Clinicopathological and prognostic significance of platelet to lymphocyte ratio in patients with gastric cancer

The present study was aim to investigate the prognostic role of platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) for patients with gastric cancer (GC) using meta-analysis. A total of 13 studies (14 cohorts) with 6,280 subjects were included. By pooling hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) and odds ratios (ORs) and 95% CIs from each study, we found that elevated PLR was significantly associa...

Ki-67 as a controversial predictive and prognostic marker in breast cancer patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy

BACKGROUND Studies have partly demonstrated the clinical validity of Ki-67 as a predictive marker in the neoadjuvant setting, but the question of the best cut-off points as well as the importance of this marker as a prognostic factor in partial responder/non-responder groups remains uncertain. METHODS One hundred twenty patients diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and treated with neoadjuva...

Can Ki-67 Play a Role in Prediction of Breast Cancer Patients' Response to Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy?

BACKGROUND Currently the choice of breast cancer therapy is based on prognostic factors. The proliferation marker Ki-67 is used increasingly to determine the method of therapy. The current study analyses the predictive value of Ki-67 in foreseeing breast cancer patients' responses to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. METHODS This study includes patients with invasive breast cancer treated between 200...

Ki-67 as a Predictor of Response to Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Breast Cancer Patients

PURPOSE The objectives of this study were to assess the potential value of Ki-67 in predicting response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer patients and to suggest a reasonable cutoff value for classifying Ki-67 expression. METHODS This study included 74 breast cancer patients who underwent surgery after anthracycline-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy between 2007 and 2012. We analyzed ...
